In addition to a flexitarian diet's emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and other nutritious foods, meat consumption is permitted on occasion.

The flexitarian diet is in third position, tied with the DASH and Mediterranean diets.

Mediterranean was the initial diet, followed by flexitarian and MIND. 

Combining the DASH and Mediterranean diets, the MIND diet emphasizes "brain-healthy" ingredients.

Flexitarian and TLC shared the top spot, with DASH and Mediterranean also tying for second.
